On September 12th, the charity project #NaShapku will feature the band MOVA!
MOVA explores and performs songs from the Ukrainian pop scene of the 1960s–1980s. On September 12th, at NaShapku, the band will present a program from the repertoire of the Marenych Trio.
“Chom Ty Ne Pryishov,” “Vzhe Sontse Nyzenko,” “Oi U Haiu Pry Dunaiu” — the Marenych Trio sparked a massive wave of popularity for Ukrainian folk songs. Their repertoire also includes original compositions, featuring lyrics by Taras Shevchenko, Dmytro Pavlychko, Vadym Kryschenko, and music by Oleksandr Zlotnyk and Platon Maiboroda. In the late 1970s, the Marenych Trio filled huge venues until they were prohibited from performing outside the Volyn region, where the performers resided. MOVA will perform the most famous songs of the legendary Trio.
The #NaShapku project combines art, kindness, and dedication, turning every note into a step towards healing our heroes.
#NaShapku – A series of charity concerts featuring talented musicians and artists. The tradition was started by the volunteer center “Frolivska 9/11,” which has since transformed into the “SVOYI” foundation. The SVOYI Foundation team helps procure bone implants, supports hospitals, and aids palliative care patients in Ukraine.
