On July 25th, the #NaShapku charity project will feature SASHA BOOLE.

Sasha Boole is a musician, writer, journalist, and officer in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He is the author of the dystopian novel “Ivy” and a member of the international band Me and That Man, a side project of Adam Nergal Darski from the band Behemoth. He began his musical career in 2013 and has since released four solo albums and two albums with the band. Before the pandemic, he was considered one of the most internationally touring Ukrainian artists, having performed in over 20 European countries.

Sasha is also the creator of a series of popular science podcasts for the project Local History. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces!

NaShapku is a series of charitable concerts featuring talented musicians and artists. The tradition was initiated at the Volunteer Center “Frolivska 9/11” with the aim of supporting internally displaced persons who fled the war in the East of our country and our volunteer battalions. Although the influx of internally displaced persons has subsided, there are still people who need our help: children with oncological diseases, displaced individuals with complex diagnoses, and palliative care patients. Later, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, and we raised funds for oxygen concentrators. Now, new challenges lie ahead of us, and we have returned to the issues of 2014: the army, internally displaced persons, and palliative care. Our friends from the Charity Foundation “SVOI” take care of all these issues. They provide the front line with honey, hospitals with medications and equipment, the de-occupied territories with medicines, and continue to support palliative care patients throughout Ukraine.
