August 18 at Pepper’s — Remez presents a concert program where pre-war songs, new compositions, and stories born during the war come together.

Oleksandr Remez is a poet, composer, frontman of the band RvB (Ruky’v Bryuky), and the projects Epokha Dzhazu (The Jazz Era) and Kyiv Rhythm Kings. Before the full-scale invasion, his concerts combined original songs with rock ’n’ roll, blues, and jazz classics. After the outbreak of the war, he joined the Kyiv Territorial Defence Forces and later served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, taking part in combat operations in the Luhansk region, where he was wounded. He later joined the Cultural Forces initiative and continues to perform and write new music.

The concert program includes:
** Pre-war songs that once filled concert venues and became part of unforgettable evenings.
** Lyrical compositions — Marichka, Odnogo Dnia (“One Day”), and Sumuyu (“I Miss You”).
** Songs born during the war — Kapelan (“Chaplain”), Shche Odyn Front (“One More Front”), Zhene Potiah (“The Train Keeps Moving”), and Yak Ty Tam, Kharkiv? (“How Are You, Kharkiv?”).
** Songs from the new EP X+Y= EP, created in the style of Elvis Presley and based on the poetry of Vasyl Symonenko.
