On February 11th Pepper’s Club will be taken over by a fever of Transcarpathian ethno beat from the band LUIKU.
This is a project by Dmytro Tsyperdiuk, a well-known Ukrainian musician and producer, our answer in the genre of World Beats.
Guests can expect:
— a colorful mix of world melodies and wild Ukrainian ethno beat;
— music by LUIKU that refuses to fit into any genre limits, blending Ukrainian, Romani, Turkish, Polish, Hungarian, Romanian and Balkan motifs;
— hot, loud, energetic and irresistibly danceable vibes.
The program will feature favorite tracks such as “Karpatian Flowers,” “Dancing,” “Luiku,” “Oh, Jesus Maria!,” “Bye-Bye, Solomiya!,” as well as other compositions that have already become the band’s signature sound.
The group grew from a one-time idea for a documentary film soundtrack into a full-fledged band with live percussion, a powerful brass section, accordion and strong female vocals.
A LUIKU performance is a rare ethno sound filled with wild energy and an amazing musical journey.
