Vocalist Yaroslav Trofimov and the stage band of the legendary Odesa jazz club Peron №7 will present in Kyiv the concert “Old Italian Jazz” — a hit of the Odesa summer that won the hearts of thousands of Odesa listeners.
On April 28 the audience will hear hits of Italian jazz, blues and soul — music by Renato Carosone, Adriano Celentano, Fred Buscaglione, Paolo Conte and other great masters of Italian swing.
One of the most interesting features of the concert is that many songs will be performed both in Italian and in Ukrainian in literary translations, so the audience will be able not only to feel the atmosphere of this music, but also to understand what the songs are about.
On stage — the stage band of the legendary Odesa jazz club Peron №7: piano, double bass, saxophone, guitar, drums, keyboards and backing vocals.

Did you know that Italy is considered the second homeland of jazz?
Three waves of immigration brought to the United States not only culinary traditions but also a musical spirit that changed the world stage forever. From Nick LaRocca to Louis Prima, from Frank Sinatra to Chick Corea and Joe Bonamassa, these artists shaped American jazz and blues while adding a distinctive Italian color.
At the same time, Italy itself developed its own jazz tradition. Among its pioneers were Renato Carosone, who blended jazz with Neapolitan passion and created songs that still bring smiles today; Fred Buscaglione, the voice and style of Italian noir, a rebellious jazzman who sang about gangsters and femme fatales like a character from an old movie; Adriano Celentano, a revolutionary and romantic who taught rock’n’roll to speak Italian and made Italian soul known around the world; Paolo Conte, a master of atmospheric jazz ballads; the unforgettable Domenico Modugno, and dozens of other musicians who created their own unique musical world.
